Avoiding 3 Common Photography Errors

By nature, no one is perfect and even the most renowned photographers sometimes make errors when they immerse themselves in photography. Here?s a quick guide on the most familiar photography mistakes one can make and what can be done to counter them.

Firstly, it is undeniable that blurry photos are a pet peeve for many photographers, be they amateurs or professional. A good cost effective way to rectify this is to keep a tripod handy. Otherwise, just utilize a faster ISO whenever you fire up your digital camera. Increased shutter speed usually means less shakes will be produced.

Next, red eyes on your subject can be a very annoying element especially when this error stood out like a sore thumb. This usually happens when one takes pictures using a built-in flash. To remedy this, invest in a flash bracket and cord, or remote flash triggers so that the flash goes off well.

Finally, another annoying photography error that will cause you to pull out your hair in frustration is lens flare. This happens when the lens flare is directly exposed to light, causing the rays to be trapped inside the lens. Lens flare is fine when you put it there during image editing processes via Photoshop but it?s not pleasant if it occurs during an inopportune time. To counter this, simply install a lens hood or use your hand to shade the lens so that direct sunlight does not reach it.
